This beautiful temple of Ramses III is located not far from another equally interesting temple of the valley - the temple of Queen Hatshepsut.
A characteristic feature of Medinat Habu temple is that all the walls of the temple Ramses III decorated with the scenes of his military victories.
And today we can still see these amazing murals and reliefs on the walls of the temple.
The burial temple of Ramses III, which we will visit, has an unusual entrance structure built by the Pharaoh.
It is known as the Pavilion and, undoubtedly, was inspired by the Syrian fortress.
In front of the pavilion there are two small watchtowers and elevated battlements of masonry.
The pavilion consists of two upper floors in which we find rooms with scenes of the Pharaoh and his wives.
The temple was built according to the same plan as Ramsesum, but is unique in that it was building and decorating progressively as the campaign of Ramses III was taking place.
Therefore, in this temple, we find a step-by-step display of Ramses III’s military career in a very well-preserved state.
