The Pyramids of Giza are a complex of three ancient pyramids located on the outskirts of Cairo, Egypt.
They are the only surviving wonder of the ancient world, and they continue to amaze visitors with their size, complexity, and architectural sophistication.
The three pyramids are named after the pharaohs who built them: Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure.
The largest of the three, the Great Pyramid of Khufu, is the oldest and largest of the three, standing at over 140 meters (460 feet) tall.
The pyramids were built as tombs for the pharaohs and were constructed over a period of more than 80 years.
They are also accompanied by smaller pyramids for the pharaohs' queens and other family members.
